Walking In Provence

This irresistible region of France has been popular for centuries with Greeks, Romans, Goths, Popes, Emperors and travelers of every stripe, capable of exciting even the most travel-weary visitor. Much of the country side is wild, sparsley populated and arid-but much is also green and well-watered. Mountain ranges cross the area from east to west, but even with these barriers the influence of Italy is apparent everywhere.

This tour concentrates on the Lubéron, one of the most attractive and interesting ares- less developed and more "Provencal" than other regions. It's great fun to walk through this remarkably varied countryside with fantastic churches, cliffside villages and great open valleys.
